This role will be part of the subscriptions marketing team and report into the Group Circulation Manager, and will take responsibility for the execution of the subscription/membership marketing campaigns to achieve and exceed various subscription KPI’s including volume and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute effective marketing campaigns to promote the digital subscription/membership propositions across the portfolio utilising the full marketing mix.
• Work with the Group Circulation Manager to produce strategic marketing plans for each brand that meet known audience needs, reach new customers and drive acquisition and retention targets.
• Responsible for all marketing campaign creative and design. Ensuring that all copywriting for email, web, social and digital advertising activities is targeted and on brand.
• Regularly review all marketing collateral, including product landing pages, renewal efforts making sure propositions and messaging are up-to-date and consistent.
• Plan & schedule all email campaigns and manage data to ensure the email marketing schedules are completed successfully and on time.
• Utilise the email system to identify new techniques and tools which will allow the enhancement of email campaigns.
• Responsible for all campaign management – from targeted data audience planning, dedicated campaign source code set up, creation of bespoke landing pages to recording and testing new promotions and offers.
• Produce thorough post-campaign reports that detail contextualised results and make recommendations for future executions.
• Conduct regular customer analysis and research to demonstrate audience growth, usage and engagement.
• Work closely with the digital team to create websites that create and maintain awareness of our products to drive awareness and engagement.
• Research and share insights on competitors, industry and new trends in marketing channels with the rest of the subscriptions marketing team.
• To monitor usage levels, website traffic and email stats and make recommendations for improvement based on results and trends.
• Responsible for monitoring all marketing campaign activity results and provide monthly reports back to Group Circulation Manager and divisional team.
• Working with the Group Circulation Manager to manage and control annual marketing budgets, to think flexibly about costs and to respond to changes in order to preserve profitability and to successfully achieve targets.
About you:
• At least 2 years’ experience in marketing digital subscription products, ideally within publishing or media.
• Great copywriting skills.
• Enthusiastic, creative and collaborative mind-set and approach.
• Commercially aware with experience in delivering KPI’s.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking; experience of using data and metrics to test and measure success.
• Experience of planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns using digital analytics to drive decision making.
• Experience working directly with email marketing platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to convey information clearly and succinctly to different stakeholders within the business.
• Solid understanding of Google Analytics.
