- Summary of role:
The Senior Marketing Manager will work within the Partner Events team, dedicated to creating and delivering high level bespoke physical and digital events for clients.
The Senior Marketing Manager reports directly to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that help grow and succeed as a brand.
The Senior Marketing Manager will oversee junior marketers, plus also work directly with other departments to ensure they deliver audiences for events that span across multiple clients and sectors.
The role will involve contribution to process improvement initiatives across the team to guarantee premium customer service is delivered to a client from brief to
debrief.
The role involves creating and delivering marketing strategies across complex partnership campaigns that enable a client to connect with audiences.
The role involves identifying key target audiences based on client brief, developing a fuller understanding of both market and delegate needs, and creating inbound and outbound marketing strategies that leveragethis insight.
This is a hands-on role that will require initiative and creative problem solving, and will be accountable for ensuring that we consistently achieve high-value delegates and associated client KPIs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
●To manage the marketing campaign for Live events. You will need to
be available to travel from Thursday 30 November - Tuesday 12 December 2023.
●Managing additional complex projects or event series effectively and efficiently.
●Line manage a Marketing Executive and Marketing Manager.
●Work with line reports to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line
with agreed KPIs, event and marketing strategy
●Providing leadership for your direct reports, motivating them to meet project goals,
and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones. Monitoring team
performance and completing performance reviews.
●Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, inspiration and coaching to line reports, design
their development roadmap and develop their skills and competencies
●Support the Head of Marketing with the roll out of new processes and ideas, and
management of the wider marketing team
●Analysing the client brief to decipher how solutions will address client goals while
maintaining alignment with process and industry best practices.
●Work with project teams to design cross-channel marketing strategies to meet
strategic objectives of individual events
●Develop marketing budgets in line with plans and ensure budget trackers across the portfolio are kept up to date
●Support the Head of Marketing and the Head of Data with designing data build and
cleanse strategies
●Map customer segmentation using demographics, psychographics, and other
marketing techniques to predict behaviour
●Define and clearly communicate value proposition to customers
●Developing trusted relationships with client stakeholders to ensure mutual
understanding of marketing KPIs and maximising potential for repeat business.
●Profiling markets and building customer insight to create customer personas which
demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of our key audience segments.
●Analysis of where our customers spend time (ie LinkedIn, Instagram), what they
engage with (ie articles, video, podcasts), frequency, and how we can add value
within these domains.
●Defining a value proposition and messaging strategy, specific to key customer
personas and consistently lead with benefit-led messaging that differentiates our
event from its competitors.
●Working together with the Inbound team to develop and execute content marketing
strategies that enable the distribution of strong, engaging digital content to customers
and associated communities, that supports engagement, acquisition, conversion,
upsell, and advocacy activities.
●Optimising marketing efforts through organic and paid search and social campaigns
to develop and engage with key stakeholders and high-value audiences for each
event.
●Providing creative direction on the look and feel of events (working in collaboration
with the Design Studio), to create marketing collateral in various formats including
digital, social and print.
