Salary - Up to £50,000 p. a.
Location - x 3 days in London/ x2 days WFH.
The team’s remit is to identify and launch events into new industries and topic areas where they might not have much in the way of legacy data. The focus will therefore be on overseeing data research, building media partnerships, and leveraging social and paid media to ensure that we reach and engage the community and get the right audience to the event.
How is this role different from a traditional conference marketing role?
The focus of this team is to explore new topics and market segments, identifying repeatable events they can grow into the future. As such day-to-day activities, pay, incentives and success criteria are aligned with these goals in this highly entrepreneurial role.
Who is the role for?
The role would suit someone who is creative and enjoys a challenge. The ideal candidate is either looking for the next step from managing a portfolio of conferences in a single topic area, or a current people manager who wants to step back from the people side and focus on topic and marketing strategy.
The Role will involve:
- Responsibility- contribute to the future product mix
- Innovation- launch topics on the cutting edge of technology
- Strategy– develop innovative marketing campaigns that get our message out to the target audience
- Branding– shape the brand and identify of our launch products
- Social- own and execute social media activity to increase our reach, engagement and impact
- Partners- create, maintain and own strategic media/association partnerships
- Data build– identify gaps in our database and
- Email- manage email marketing initiatives from copy to design
- SEO– manage, analyse and optimise online sites and content to increase organic traffic
Requirements:
- Exceptional written and verbal English
- Interest in new tech and current affairs
- Someone who is focused on solutions rather than challenges, self-starters who can demonstrate a track record of a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to work
- Experience in taking new products to market
This is a full-time position based in the UK
