Job Description:
Sitting within their Digital Editorial team with a dotted line to their Marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy that drives growth, engagement and traffic across all their platforms. Working in collaboration with their editorial and commercial teams, you will play a key role in growing their social media channels by creating and curating compelling content, managing social media accounts, and fostering meaningful interactions with their online community. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, a creative mindset, and a proven track record of driving results through social media channels.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Drive Growth: Implement comprehensive strategies aimed at growing their social media presence organically and yielding tangible results.
- Content Creation: Create engaging and shareable content, including text, image, and video content, that reflects the brand's voice and resonates with the target audience.
- Platform Management: Manage and monitor all social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Community Engagement: Foster and engage with their online community through timely responses, comments, and messages. Build relationships with influencers and brand advocates.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse social media performance metrics, providing monthly reports and insights to inform future strategies and campaigns.
- Campaign Development: Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and other marketing goals.
- Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms to ensure their strategy remains cutting-edge.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Jtheirnalism or a related field.
- Minimum three years experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Proficient in social media management tools and analytics.
- Skilled in Adobe After Effects or similar video editing software.
- Experience with paid social media advertising is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
